What you study

Students study constitutional, administrative, civil, criminal and commercial law, company and labour law, international law, procedure and evidence, together with legal research, writing and analysis.

Career paths

Paths include training and then legal practice under Jordan Bar requirements, as well as legal affairs, contracts and compliance roles in companies, banks and institutions, government work and organisations. Judicial, prosecution and other legal careers have separate selection requirements.

Common misconceptions

A law bachelor's degree does not automatically make the graduate a practising lawyer; registration, training and professional examinations are additional stages.
Law is not only memorising statutes or speaking in court; it relies heavily on research, writing, analysis and argument construction.
