GPA calculator FAQ
How do I calculate my GPA with the new 30/70 system?
Final GPA = (11th grade average × 30%) + (12th grade average × 70%). For example, if you got 85% in 11th and 90% in 12th: (85 × 0.30) + (90 × 0.70) = 25.5 + 63 = 88.5%
Does the calculator support the Palestine curriculum?
Yes. The calculator supports the current Palestine Scientific/Literary pathway at 100% Grade 12, and a Palestine 40/60 planning mode for the new pathway. Always verify official school or ministry instructions.
What's the difference between the old and new 30/70 system?
In the old system, Tawjihi grade was 100% from 12th grade only. In the new system, 11th grade is 30% and 12th grade is 70%. This means your 11th grade marks matter and affect your university future.
What are the six fields in the new Tawjihi system?
The six fields are: Health (for Medicine, Pharmacy), Engineering (for all engineering majors), Science & Technology (for Computer Science), Languages & Social Sciences (for Translation, Literature), Business (for Accounting, Management), and Law & Sharia.
Is the calculator updated for the 2025/2026 system?
The calculator is updated for our 30/70 planning model and available fields, but it is not a substitute for school or ministry instructions. Verify official sources before registration or admissions decisions.
What are the common 11th grade subjects for all fields?
Common 11th grade subjects are: Arabic (100 points), English (100 points), Islamic Studies (60 points), and Jordan History (40 points). Total: 300 points making up 30% of final GPA.
How do I know the required GPA for a specific major?
Visit the University Admission Rates page on TawjihiAI to compare your GPA with a historical planning snapshot by major and university. Use it for planning only, then verify with the Unified Admission Unit and the university.
Does it matter if I fail one subject?
Yes, failing any subject affects your overall GPA. If you fail an 11th grade subject, you must retake and pass it. Each subject has a specific weight calculated in the final GPA.
How do I calculate my expected GPA before exams?
Enter your expected grades in the calculator above. Try different scenarios - see how much you need in each subject to reach your target GPA. The calculator computes instantly without any button press.
Can I share my result on social media?
Yes! After calculating your GPA, you can share it directly on WhatsApp, download the result image to share on Instagram or Snapchat, or use the share button for any other app.
Who is generation 2008?
Generation 2008 are students born in 2008 who are the first cohort to study under the new 30/70 Tawjihi system. They are in 11th grade in 2024/2025 and will graduate Tawjihi in 2026.
What if my GPA is lower than expected?
Don't despair! Use the calculator to identify subjects needing improvement. Focus on high-weight subjects. Remember 12th grade makes up 70%, so you still have a big chance to improve.
Can I use the calculator before subscribing?
Yes—the GPA calculator runs in your browser. Sign in when you want to save progress or open study tools on the platform.
Can I improve my GPA after results are out?
Retake rules depend on your cohort and the current ministry cycle. Use the calculator for planning scenarios, then confirm retake eligibility on the official ministry student hub before you rely on any path.
What is the minimum admission rate for Medicine?
Treat 90% as the planning floor for medical majors inside the tool, but verify current-cycle requirements and actual admission rules with the Unified Admission Unit and the university before applying.
How does failing an 11th grade subject affect university admission?
If you fail an 11th grade subject, check with your school or ministry for retake rules and admissions impact. The calculator helps estimate scenarios, but it does not determine official eligibility.
