على الفترة [−1,2][-1,2] يكون g(x)−f(x)=x2+4x+8g(x)-f(x)=x^2+4x+8 موجباً، لذلك A=∫−12(x2+4x+8)dx=[x33+2x2+8x]−12=33A=\int_{-1}^2(x^2+4x+8)dx=\left[\frac{x^3}{3}+2x^2+8x\right]_{-1}^2=33 وحدة مربعة.
